Greetings and welcome to Heart of Sedona Weddings. My name is Rev. Andrew Murphy and as your wedding minister I’d like to congratulate you on your wonderful decision to marry.
My interest and passion for ceremony began many years ago. Upon graduation with a Masters of Divinity degree from Loyola University of Chicago, I served as a Jesuit Catholic priest in Latin America and India. It was during that time that I discovered the power of ceremony to transform lives and my own delight in performing multi-cultural celebrations in English and Spanish. In way of helping couples to prepare for their wedding, I also offered spiritual relationship coaching and retreats.
On leaving the Jesuit Order eleven years ago, I settled in Sedona, Arizona, which has become one of my great loves. I love it for its extraordinary natural beauty and for the opportunity it has given me to serve people with my gifts and talents.

In the same year I created Heart of Sedona Weddings as a ministry of service to couples called to the promise of marriage. What has distinguished Heart of Sedona Weddings as a ministry and business from its conception on through today is our co-creative approach with you, the couples that we work with, and our spiritual sensitivity that helps illumine the sacredness of your love.
As an ordained minister for twenty-five years I continue with the same enthusiasm, inspired not so much by background and experience but by the love reflected through extraordinary couples like your selves. For me, to stand before you and witness the love between you is to feel at one with one of life’s most precious gifts.
